Acuere’s 1st Tekkie Brekkie for their Sage SalesLogix customers was held in conjunction with Sage Business Solutions on Thursday 11th June 2009.
The session was warmly received by those attending. The audience were given an overview of what’s in pipeline for SalesLogix V8 due for release by March 2010 and beyond. They also appreciated being given access to the SalesLogix Product Manager from the US who delivered the key messages.
Enhancements to this strong application will include tighter integration to ERP applications, simplified upgrade tools, further expansion of existing functionality and whilst web support is the way of the future Sage have made their intentions clear that support for the LAN client will continue for some time to come. Other exciting announcements around support for the iPhone, continued expansion of Blackberry functionality and consideration around leveraging Social Networking sites gave the attendees much to reflect on for the future.
Clients expressed keen interest on the developments related to Web 2.0 / social networking; this focus area has generated a lot of buzz both locally and globally.
